Carvão Grill is a South American steakhouse that fuses the grilling traditions of Brazil and Argentina. We feature only the best cuts of beef, chicken, and wild salmon seasoned and grilled to perfection. Our specialty dishes are a blend of old world recipes prepared with a South American flair.
Carvão has a carefully selected list of premier wines from around the world. We also feature exceptional Malbecs from Argentina.

The Word
Carvão: in Portuguese it means charcoal.
Carvão describes the grilling methods of Brazil and Argentina, where the tradition of slow-roasted meats over an open fire harks back to the original cowboys.
This style of grilling is now a South American ritual -- practiced daily in the most modest estancias of the Pampas to the swankiest eateries of São Paulo.
Piaggio
Piaggio has always had a passion for excellent food and exceptional service, and this was much in evidence during the five years he owned and operated the Gaucho Grill in downtown Brea.
He now brings that same enthusiasm to Carvão Grill, his flagship concept for introducing the South American steakhouse to Orange County.
Born and raised in Argentina, Piaggio spent his youth shadowing his famous chef / uncle in his kitchen, learning the restaurant business. He spent 12 years living in Bahia, where he owned and operated his own restaurant in Praia do Forte -- then a nascent region of international eco-tourism and Afro-Brazilian cuisine.
Piaggio brings his love of all things Argentine and Brazilian to Carvão Grill. He is excited about the opportunity to serve you and provide you with a unique dining experience.
